Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a form of energy healing that can benefit and be learned by everyone. It can be used safely and effectively on others no matter their medical condition, one's self, animals, plants, and even Mother Earth. It works on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The reiki practitioner acts as a conduit by drawing the reiki energy in through the crown of her head and letting it flow out through her hands and into the person receiving the healing. The practitioner often lightly touches the person being be treated, but this kind of healing can also be performed by holding the hands 6-18 inches away or even sending it distantly hundreds of miles or even around the world using distant healing techniques. Reiki is not massage; it is not a religion; and it is not a substitute for medical treatment. It can be used in conjunction with modern medicine, alternative therapies, or on its own.
As mentioned above, anyone can can learn to share reiki. No special background, knowledge, spiritual belief, or unusual gift is required. Some people are natural healers, and being attuned to reiki just enhances that gift, but in many cases, it awakens the gift of healing in people that otherwise might never have had the opportunity.

Level I – Saturday, June 15 11 am to 3 pm, $75
Level II – Saturday June 15 4 pm to 7pm, $85
Level III – Sunday June 16th 1pm to 5 pm, $175
